I am looking to buy the annual pass but I have 7 members in my family how much would it be to add the 2 extra members thank you
I spoke with our Group Sales & Events Coordinator, Tammy. She informed me we have a special right now with Groupon (only 1 day left) in which Family Memberships can be purchased for $35!!! That is a HUGE Savings. Then, when you come into the museum, you can purchase add-ons for your children @ $15 each. Without Groupon our Family Membership is $75 – and you can still get the two children added on at $15 each. For more information, you can contact Tammy via email tammy@armedforcesmuseum.com or via phone at (727)539-8371. Thank you for your inquiry.
I am 14yrs Army. Does free admission apply to my dependents with military I.D.? If not, I was considering purchasing the Family Membership in January, to get full benefit. Would a military discount apply to Membership?
First, on behalf of all of us here at the museum, thank you for your service!! I have spoken with Tammy, our Director of Group Sales and Events. She informed me that dependents of active or retired military do not receive free admission. Also, no additional discounts are available on memberships. Depending on the number of dependents, several membership options could be available. The membership is, however, good for one year from date of purchase. You do not have to wait until January. We currently have some great summer activities scheduled – starting tomorrow with our Touch-A-Truck, so it is a great time to visit the museum. If you have any additional questions, you can contact Tammy via email at tammy@armedforcesmuseum.com or call her at (727)539-8372 ext. 107. Thank you for your inquiry.
I am retired USAF and I am currently researching a project for a class I am attending at St. Leo University. I see that both myself and my 3 year old daughter can get in free to your museum, does the free admission also count for Military Dependent wives? It doesn’t say wives are included but they served too, on the homefront, and in my opinion they are also heroes who deserve free admission. In my wife’s case, she is also a Veteran of the Illinois and Florida Air National Guard but did not retire. Would her bringing her Discharge Papers be sufficient. I know we should be greatful for free admission for Active and Retired folks but I think our Dependent Wives/Husbands who still also have an active ID should be permitted in for free. JMHO.
Respectfully,
Kelly C. Flanagan, TSgt, USAF (Ret)
Tampa, Florida
Good morning Kelly! First off, on behalf of the entire staff here at AFHM, a special thanks to you and your wife for your service. And we completely agree that ANYONE who has given service to our country is a heroe and the families are no doubt a part of that service. Unfortunately at this time, we are only able to extend free admission to our active military and retired military. We are the largest, non-profit military museum in the southeast that does not receive government funding or any other funding from outside sources. In Pinellas County alone, we have over 160,000 veterans. We respect your thoughts and appreciate your input. Thank you for visiting our web-site and for your feedback. We look forward to your visit.
If I join a year membership at the “American Victory Ship” in Tampa then I get free admission here at the Armed Forces Museum. But if I get a year membership here, I only get $3 off admission to the American Victory Ship. Seems like a bit lopsided reciprocity??? Am I missing something?
Apparently, American Victory Ship has not updated their web-site. Discount on either admission with a membership is $3. The American Victory Ship’s brochure properly reflects the $3 off.
My husband is retired from 20 years of service in the Navy and Coast Goard Aviation. He has mentioned visiting the museum the last couple times we passed your sign. So, I thought I would purchase a gift certificate for him. But it seems his admission would be free. Do you have gift certificates available for him to bring the rest of us? Or should I simply order tickets to wrap for Christmas. Thank you for providing such a wonderful opportunity to share this part of history with our family.
First, we would like to thank your husband for his service to this great country of ours. We do have tickets you could purchase (on-line or at the front desk) and wrap up for Christmas. What a great idea. We would be happy to make up a gift certificate if you prefer though. Also, if you want to do something for him, you might want to consider a ride in our WWII M8 Reconnaissance Vehicle. The M8 ride is regularly $50 but right now, it is only $40 (up to three people), and gift certificates are available. Those need to be purchased at the museum. You can contact tammy@armedforcesmuseum.com if you have any additional questions. We are all honored here at the museum to assist in preserving the history of the brave warriors who have served this country. Thanks for visiting the web-site, we look forward to you and your family visiting the museum.
Write more, thats all I have to say. Literally, it seems as though you relied on the video to
make your point. You obviously know what youre talking about, why waste your intelligence
on just posting videos to your blog when you could be giving us
something enlightening to read?
I am not sure which video you are referring to or which article(s). We have hundreds of blogs of various lengths. We also use videos as not all visitors enjoy reading. Thank you for your input and for visiting our web-site.
